Yesterday, after I finished at the museum, I was walking back to my bus, and I noticed the fringe festival was on. Winnipeg's Fringe is supposedly second only to Edmonton's, and was something I had really wanted to see, so I called up some people and we spent yesterday fringing. They have this free stage, with a beer tent with ideal seating, and everything else was only $6-8, and all 15 odd venues were clustered together so you could just walk around, and then decide to go into whichever one caught your eye. I love plays, and really wonder why I've never been to Vancouver's, since I enjoyed this one so much. I saw "Confessions of a Class Clown" in the upstairs of a pub, and then "A Black Opera in Three Acts" which had raw meat on stage. Interestingly, that is the second play I've seen in my life that's used raw meat as a stage prop.
